Frustration for Ryding as error derails his second run in Kranjska Gora

Dave Ryding flew back from Pyeongchang straight to Europe and unlike many of the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympians was straight back to work. One week after the team event in Korea, Ryding was, like many of the top Slalom racers competing on the World Cup. While the speed racers had an extended break, the slalom maestros were herded back into the media glare without much of a break. Ryding battled his way into joint 15th after the first run and was firing on all cylinders for the second when a mistake on the steep derailed his run. 20th was the end result, others crashing out on the second run helped limit the damage.
