Mikaela Shiffrin has won in Slalom, Giant Slalom and has now added victory in Downhill to her success story. After the race was delayed for three hours due to a power cut that prohibited the lifts working let alone coverage of the race by television, Shiffrin produced a performance that not only saw her win her first Downhill but also take the lead in the World Cup Downhill standings – she was already ahead in the Overall! Viktoria Rebensburg took second and another slalom racer, Michelle Gisin from Switzerland came down to take third place ahead of Connie Huetter.
