Codie Bascue the local boy did good ! Winning his first ever World Cup race in honour of the late great Steven Holcomb following up on his bronze medal from race 1.
Bascue and McGuiffe were victorious 0.11(s) ahead of Canada’s Justin Kripps and partner Kopacz in silver medal position. USA’s Olsen & Wienstock took bronze 0.40(s) from gold.
North American sleds took the top 5 slots with the best European finisher was Germany’s Lochner and Webernin 6th spot.
Great Britains Bradley Hall and Toby Olubi crashed out in run 2 both athletes appeared to be up and walking after the crash. Bruce Tasker and Joel Fearon were 26th out of 27 sleds.
The action now moves to Park City, Utah on the 2002 Olympic Track.
The race for Olympic qualification intensified with 2 of the 7 world cup races now completed only 30 sleds will take to the start line in South Korea and so far 43 sleds have competed in IBSF competitions.
Bascue now leads the IBSF World Cup standings ahead of his USA teammate Nick Cunningham and Justin Kripps of Canada.
