The Slalom Globe had already been decided and with the news that Ilka Stuhec would not race in the Slalom, Mikaela Shiffrin was told that she had been crowned Overall Champion before the race began. Cue the opportunity for Shiffrin to ski for fun. Cue the opportunity for the rest of the field to challenge for a top place. Petra Vlhova leads after run one with Frida Hansdotter in second and Mikaela Shiffrin in third.

The only place left to fight for on the podium was third and with Wendy Holdener in sixth, Frida Hansdotter still has an outside chance of catching her.

With the snow melting quickly, early start numbers may have a chance of springing a surprise on the second run.

Second run starts at 18.30 GMT
