When Mikaela Shiffrin took the lead there was an ominous feeling to the outcome of the last Women’s World Cup Slalom. Shiffrin won the first four Slalom’s of the season and the sixth, eighth and nine of the ten race series. Yet she could not hold off the charging Petra Vlhova who held on to her first run lead to win with Frida Hansdotter in third.
