World Championship Downhill glory for Ilka Stuhec

After a heartbreaking end to the Alpine Combined for Ilka Stuhec, where she crashed out in the slalom leg, the Slovenia sensation of this season came back two days later to become the Ladies Downhill World Champion. Stuhec beat Austria’s Stephanie Venier by 0.40 seconds in St.Moritz, with Lindsey Vonn of the USA third.
