Carnage in Garmisch downhill as Ganong takes the win

There were several huge crashes during the Garmisch downhill for the men. Valentin Giraud Moine and Steven Nyman were two of numerous that crashed but had to be airlifted from the course. USA’s Travis Ganong won by 0.38 seconds ahead of Kjetil Jansrud of Norway, with Italy’s Peter Fill third. It was a tough day for the downhillers.
