Lara Gut dominates first race of the season

Defending ladies overall World Cup champion Lara Gut showed the world she is the racer to beat again, after a stunning performance in the opening Giant slalom in Soelden, Austria. Gut dominated the first run by a deficit of +1.44 seconds ahead of Mikaela Shiffrin and then extended her lead by a further two hundredths of a second over the American on the second run.
