“Nobody can call me a wimp now,” was how Lindsey Vonn described her exertions after coming back from injury less than 24 hours after crashing in Soldeu. The records will show that Federica Brignone won her first speed race and that Marie-Michelle Gagnon won her second Alpine Combined but the records will not show that Vonn crashed in the Super G, injuring her left knee and then came back to win the Super G section of the Alpine Combined before setting for points in the race for the Overall.
