David Ryding has raced at Levi three times and scored his first World Cup points in the resort two years ago. It is a place he likes and a place that suits the best parts of his technique. This summer he made changes to his programme and where he trained in an effort to make the step up to qualifying for the second runs in the World Cup and was feeling good coming into the opening race of the Alpine World Cup.
