12th place for Sarsfield in Ski Cross World Cup Finals

Emily Sarsfield had a fantastic end to her winter season coming 12th place in the Ski Cross World Cup Finals in La Plagne on Sunday. …

After a snow storm came in on Saturday night, the course workers and organisers had to work hard to clear the snow and prepare the course for Sunday’s action. On what was a tough course in snowy conditions, Sarsfield raced well to make it through to the quarter-finals, finishing 12th in the last World Cup of the season.

In Chiesa in Valmalenco this weekend, Elodie Wallace came 13th in the Aerials Europa Cup and Lloyd Wallace finished in 16th. They will now be joined by the rest of the Freestyle and Snowboard Junior athletes selected to compete at the World Junior Championships also being held in Valmalenco.

The 2014 World Junior Freestyle Ski and Snowboard Championships held in Valmalenco, Italy from the 25th March until 6th April will see 25 Freestyle Ski and Snowboard Junior athletes represent Great Britain across 6 disciplines:

Aerials – 25th March: Elodie Wallace and Lloyd Wallace

Moguls/ Dual Moguls – 26th/27th March: Leonie Gerken-Schofield, Makayla Gerken-Schofield, Myles Pham, Samuel Houston, Liam Keyes and Will Feneley

Snowboard Slopestyle -  30th March: Katie Ormerod, Rowan Coultas and Findlay Bremner

Snowboard Cross -  2nd April: Maisie Potter, Andrew Richardson and Johnny Chan

Ski Slopestyle -  3rd April: Katie Summerhayes, Molly Summerhayes and Anna Vincenti, Tyler Harding, Mike Rowlands, Cal Sandieson and Joe Hides

Ski Cross – 6th April: Emma Peters, Scott Garvie, Laurence Willows and Sam Allen
