Slovenian Team try to protest against “unsportsmanlike behaviour” by Vonn

Excitement erupted after the Women’s Super G in St Moritz as the Slovenian Team protested against Lindsey Vonn claiming that the American had been ‘unsportsmanlike’ after she came through the finish following her run. The Slovenian Team protested against Vonn believing that she had been abusive towards their athlete. The Head Coach of the USA team and Slovenian team checked the sound voice control where abuse was supposed to have happened. Atle Skaardal, head of the Womens World Cup,  explained to the assembled media and team captains at the team captains meeting that this had not been the case and the protest was rejected.

Vonn and Maze were a picture of happiness as they celebrated their respective positions on the podium after the race.
